Every now and then, an album featuring some of our favorite performers drops without making a blip on the music media radar screen: Enter Brett Eugene Ralph.
The self-titled debut album from Brett Eugene Ralph’s Kentucky Chrome Revue, which dropped early last month via Louisville, KY’s Noise Pollution, was recorded at Paul Oldham’s Rove Studios and includes an epic list of guest appearances, such as Will Oldham (Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy), Jolie Holland, Sebadoh’s Jason Loewenstein, Pink Nasty, Catherine Irwin (Freakwater), Paz Lenchantin (Silver Jews), Ethan Buckler (Slint), and 14 others.
Two years in the making, Brett Eugene Ralph’s Kentucky Chrome Revue features 9 original songs and a countrified cover of Iggy and the Stooges’ “Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell.” Purchase the record here and stream samples (including the Stooges cover) on MySpace here.
