Alejandro Escovedo just announced exciting details about his forthcoming 9th studio album: On June 29th, Escovedo will drop Street Songs Of Love, a 13-track album of original songs (many of which were co-penned by singer/songwriter Chuck Prophet), featuring guest performances by Bruce Springsteen and Mott the Hoople’s Ian Hunter.
Produced by Tony Visconti (David Bowie, Morrissey, etc.), the record is “about love, the pursuit of a feeling that is forever elusive, mysterious, and addictive,” said Escovedo. On the song “Faith,” Escovedo and The Boss trade vocal lines around “a nasty guitar riff.”
