Rather than sitting around decrying the death of digital-based physical formats, why not do some good with those pesky plastic cartridges that are strewn underneath your car seats or stuffed into drawers? Discsfordogs.org is offering to take your used CDs and DVDs, which are sometimes too scratched to hawk to stores, and sell them for $1 each with all proceeds going directly to the SPCA, a nonprofit animal welfare organization.
According to their site (via @largeheartedboy), they will even reimburse you for the cost of shipping or donate those funds to the SPCA as well. For instructions, click here.
