With all three of their previously released studio records now out of print, not to mention former members gaining notoriety in bands like Grand Archives, S, and Band of Horses, this is one reunion that we can really get behind: Hardly Art revealed today that they have teamed up with Carissa’s Wierd, Mat Brooke and Jenn Ghetto’s collaborative Seattle-based band which counts Ben Bridwell among former members, for album reissues and a new retrospective record. What’s more, “the band plans to reunite to play at least one Seattle-area show.”
On July 13, Hardly Art will drop They’ll Only Miss You When You Leave: Songs 1996-2003, a retrospective compilation; on the other hand, details are still being formalized for upcoming digital/vinyl reissues of their LPs Ugly But Honest, You Should Be at Home Here, and Songs About Leaving.
