Actor, Coconut Records mastermind, and Wes Anderson buddy Jason Schwartzman has offered up his considerable talents in support of his cousin Gia Coppola, granddaughter to Francis Ford Coppola (and Sofia’s niece), who is becoming a notable filmmaker in her own right. As Cinematical reports (via the Playlist), Schwartzman and Marie Antoinette co-star Kirsten Dunst star in Coppola and Tracy Antonopoulos’ Non Plus One, a short film featuring fashion label Opening Ceremony’s spring line and score by Coconut Records’ “Is This Sound Okay?” from last year’s Davy.
The combination of Schwartzman’s music and Coppola’s Jean-Luc Godard-inspired direction pretty much ensures that this will be the most twee version of French New Wave you will have seen to date.
