Not only is Green Day’s American Idiot musical set to make the move from Berkeley to Broadway this spring, but they’re also taking almost the entire cast with them for the NYC run. That’s not all, though: Broadway.com reports that stars John Gallagher Jr., Stark Sands, Michael Esper, Rebecca Naomi Jones, and the rest of the cast will join Green Day for a live performance of 21st Century Breakdown single “21 Guns” on the Grammy Awards Sunday night (Jan 31).
This isn’t the first time the American Idiot musical cast has teamed up with Green Day. In fact, just last month, frontman Billie Joe Armstrong produced a re-recording of the “21 Guns” single as performed by the actors. (Actually, I rather prefer this newer version to the Armstrong-sung original.)
