The Killers have put out a new original holiday-themed tune for charity every year since 2006 and this year’s offering, “Happy Birthday Guadalupe!”, a collaboration with their New Hampshire-based former tourmates, Wild Light, and the LA-based band Mariachi El Bronx, is set to hit the interwebs on the first of next month via Amazon and elsewhere.
Think this is some seasonal throwaway track? “I think it’s our best Christmas song,” singer Brandon Flowers boasted to Metro, adding later, “these songs would destroy rock radio if they weren’t about Christmas.”
