Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová melted many a heart last year when they won the Oscar for Best Original Song for “Falling Slowly” from their starring turn in romantic indie flick Once. They have since become a couple, signed a publishing deal with Warner Music Group, and broken up.
Now we have the follow-up album from the Jerry and Elaine of singer/songwriters, called Strict Joy, and it’s looking like Richard and Linda Thompson’s I Want to See the Bright Lights Tonight breakup record formula has struck gold again.
