Whether it’s in the basement of a library in Massachusetts (where I first saw him) or opening for Nine Inch Nails in Las Vegas (where I last saw him), Saul Williams refuses to not bring the house down at his live shows. He always has a killer band or DJ and with an oeuvre that ranges from spoken word pieces to rap songs to U2 covers, a live Saul show is an amazing experience.
Catching him live used to be more difficult though, as many of the shows were either exclusive college events or, in the case of the NIN tour, a bit expensive. So we’ve got good news today: Saul Williams will set out on a headlining U.S. (and 2 Canadian date) tour later this month, billed as Afro-Punk Presents: Saul Williams & Guests, “The Niggy Tardust Experience.”
I wonder if one of his “guests” will be his former partner in crime Trent Reznor (keep an eye on that LA show). Check out the dates below for a city near you:
