Early last month, we told you about an upcoming hunger awareness documentary that was shot, co-financed, and narrated by Henry Rollins called H for Hunger. At that time, the future of the project was still up in the air, as Rollins plans to donate all the profits to charity and there was still some financial red tape to cut through.
Well, it looks like the film is moving forward: Celebrity Cafe reports that H for Hunger has already won an Honorable Mention at the Santa Cruz Film Fest and has a few more stops on the festival circuit ahead. You can catch Rollins’ documentary at the Eugene International Film Festival this weekend (Oct 8-11) or at NYC’s Royal Flush Film Festival from the 15th to the 19th.
That’s not all Rollins is promoting, though: his new book, A Mad Dash (limited signed edition available here for $20!), is hitting shelves shortly. As the description reads and Rollins explains in a video on Blabbermouth, the book is “a seemingly endless stream of words, one after another, [which] details Rollins’ travels all over the world, over one hundred performances and the shooting of five documentaries.”
Five documentaries?! We’re gonna need a bigger boat.
