Two new much-anticipated albums have hit the Web in the past 24 hours and you can now stream them both in all their star-studded glory.
First off, Ryan Gosling’s and Zach Shields’ brilliant Anti-signed band, Dead Man’s Bones, are releasing their eponymous debut next week, but every track is now up on their MySpace page.
I just can’t get enough of the whole concept, image, and sound of this record. Perhaps it was his Mouseketeer training or something, but Gosling seems to have ScarJo beat in both the acting and singing field, IMO.
Want to show off your acting, singing, or fire breathing chops for Gosling and company? Dead Man’s Bones are setting out on about a dozen U.S. tour dates next month and they’re looking for talent show participants.
Also, Rosanne Cash’s new rock star cameo-laden covers record, The List, is up to stream in full on NPR’s site. Be sure to check out “Long Black Veil,” featuring Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy, “Sea of Heartbreak,” featuring Bruce Springsteen, and Elvis Costello’s guest vocal on “Heartaches By The Number.”
