Now that UK duo La Roux have a couple hit singles under their belt and seem poised for a U.S. invasion, they’ve earned that distinct right pop stars have to chime in on the ridiculously-infamous Swift-gate incident. And though singer Elly Jackson does side with President Obama’s analysis that Kanye West is a “jackass,” adding, “that’s not really pointing out anything that anyone didn’t know anyway,” she goes on to drop some fightin’ words against the “victim” of the over-hyped stage invasion.
“I do think people should stand up more against rubbish music and people should say, ‘No, sorry this isn’t that good’,” Jackson told Radio 1 (via Digital Spy). “It’s not. Taylor Swift’s music isn’t good, it’s manufactured princess pop, we’ve got enough of it, let’s have something else.”
Now if this ends up with apologies on The View and Leno, La Roux have really made it to the big time.
