Okay, I know we’re going 2-for-2 here with Jack White posts, but this one’s too good to pass up. Country pop singer Taylor Swift was asked recently whom she would like to collaborate with on the follow-up to this year’s highest-selling album, Fearless, and her choice was an unlikely fellow Nashville transplant:
“Jack White… ‘cause he’s awesome,” Swift told MTV. “I love his style. “I love his writing and I think he’s an amazing player too, so any kind of collaboration there would be really awesome.”
As MTV notes, White has collaborated with country stars in the past; most notably, producing and performing on Loretta Lynn’s incredible Van Lear Rose album. I’m sure Swift will get some flack for this, but I think she actually has the songwriting chops to keep up with ol’ Jack. Either way, I’d rather his rumored Bob Dylan project happens first.
