On the same week that Coldplay broke the U.S. record for digital album sales, the CEO and co-founder to the company behind iTunes, one of the most popular digital music stores, made his first public appearance since receiving a liver transplant. And fortunately—from a publicity standpoint—Apple’s Steve Jobs made this public return at a Coldplay concert.
MacNN reports that Jobs was not only seen in the audience of Coldplay’s Tuesday night gig at Mountain View’s Shoreline Amphitheatre, but was also spotted in conversation with Dave Holmes, a former MTV VJ and current TV Guide Network host.
Though it’s possible that Jobs came to the show to personally congratulate the band on being the first to sell one million digital albums, perhaps he just needs some post-operative relief from the “pressures of modern living.”
