As you probably heard, Lupe Fiasco, Justin Timberlake and Kenna are following in the steps of Girls Aloud and climbing Africa’s highest peak: Mount Kilimanjaro. Timberlake has been working hard to prepare for the climb, telling GQ, “I’ve been training four times a week to get my VO2 levels up to expand my lungs.” Well, he better work hard because Lupe Fiasco might put him out of his misery if he can’t make it.
“I’m worried. If things go bad out there, everybody’s dying I’ll go psychopath, freak out and murder everyone for the sake of none of us suffering!” Fiasco joked (via Monsters and Critics). “It would be like the ending of a Stephen King movie, by the time the rescue helicopter comes. I wouldn’t euthanize Justin unless he was really suffering.”
Despite sustaining a back injury only one week before the climb, Take That’s Gary Barlow organized and took part in a jaunt up Mt. Kiliminjaro with Cheryl Cole, Ronan Keating and Denise Van Outen last month, supporting the Comic Relief charity.
Spin reports that JT, Fiasco and Kenna’s climb is “an effort to raise money and awareness for the worldwide water crisis.”
