DMX and Scott Storch Go to Rehab

Scott Storch has written and produced dozens of hits for the top R&B and hip-hop artists in the world, including two tracks from DMX’s 2006 album Year of the Dog… Again. Three years after their collaboration, however, both DMX and Storch are recovering from drug addiction.

Both music stars are trying to get their lives back together amid run-ins with the law. DMX, aka Earl Simmons, has been serving time in a Phoenix, Arizona prison on various charges, including aggravated assault of a corrections officer in February (he was even arrested at Storch’s home last December); Storch was busted for grand theft auto a few weeks ago for refusing to return a leased Bentley.

DMX might not look so good in his pink prison jumpsuit and Storch’s Bentley debacle is probably embarrassing for the producer, but their recoveries will be a bit more glamorous (if you can call it that) than it is for your average addict. DMX is set to appear on VH1’s reality show Celebrity Rehab – Radar Online reports that Bob Forrest, resident drug counselor for the show, has confirmed him as a participant.

MTV reports (via Thisis50.com) that Storch, who lost $30 million during his three years of cocaine abuse, is living in a house with a counselor and curfew, but he is able to leave to produce hits at his studio during the day.
