There was “an incident” at New York’s Turning Stone Resort and Casino recently that has left some fans of Simon and Garfunkel angered: Radar Online reports that Art Garfunkel got testy when he was apparently distracted while reading a poem to the audience, saying, “I try to be kind to the handicapped, but I’m trying to put on a show here.” A fan in a wheelchair was then wheeled out of the venue.
A spokesperson for the casino said, “Art Garfunkel did have a concert here recently and yes, there was an incident.” One fan wasn’t so vague, writing on their blog: “He is an arrogant (bleep). I am sorry I did not walk out of the concert.”
Perhaps Garfunkel is just drumming up publicity for the rumored Simon and Garfunkel reunion tour this year.
