Flight of the Conchords to Hit the Big Screen?

Rhys Darby (also known as Murray, the Conchords’ insipid manager) and FOTC co-creator James Bobin are in talks to develop a Flight of the Conchords movie.

Darby explains: “But… when you make a film it’s got to be, you’ve got to have a really great story. Whether you go and do a back story, or whether you take it off on a different tangent you have to put a lot of thought into it. So I would definitely love to do it, but we will have to wait and see.”

“The best moments are when we are doing band meetings and those are the treasured moments,” Darby added (via Yahoo! News). “We improvised a lot of those and we have the most fun. Sometimes those band meetings go on for eight minutes you know and they have to shout ‘Stop you realise the show’s only 24 minutes’ you know but we have so much fun doing them.”

Hopefully, we won’t have to wait until “the distant future, the distant future” for it.  Cause, you know, our asses will have been poisoned with poisonous gasses.
