At around 6pm last night, Chris Brown turned himself in to Los Angeles police. He was charged with one count of making felony criminal threats and released on $50k bail. The singer was being investigated by police for an alleged domestic battery in LA’s Hancock Park neighborhood at 1230am Sunday morning; not long after Brown and his girlfriend Rihanna had left Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party together. Sources tell Rolling Stone and Mediatakeout that the alleged victim is Rihanna.
Both performers abruptly canceled their scheduled Grammy appearances yesterday after police released information about their investigation of Brown. Responding to a 911 call, officers met with an unidentified victim who showed them visible wounds and accused Chris Brown of the assault. Mediatakeout.com reports that Rihanna is the alleged victim, suffering bruises to her face and arm, but she will not be helping investigators in their case against Brown.
*TMZ just reported the police report listed the victim as Robyn Fenty, Rihanna’s legal name.
We will update this article with any major changes to the story, but check out Mediatakeout.com; their sources are closest to the couple.
