Talk of a possible Elton John appearance on the forthcoming Eminem album Relapse is reaching a fever pitch, following reports that the pair was seen at Detroit’s Effigy recording studio during the course of one week last year.
It wouldn’t be the first collaboration between the pop rock legend and rapper. Back in 2001, they famously teamed up for a performance at the Grammy Awards after a controversy erupted about Eminem’s alleged homophobic bigotry.
A source told The Independent (via MTV UK) that “Elton really gets his music. Anything they produce will be total dope.” The album, produced by regular Eminem collaborator Dr. Dre, is also said to feature Jay-Z and 50 Cent.
There is currently no release date set for Relapse, but a few tracks have leaked on YouTube. To listen to “Crack A Bottle,” click here.
