Rap mogul Suge Knight’s Death Row Records went bankrupt in 2006, but each time the label is put up for auction they can’t close the sale. The New York Post reports many potential buyers are afraid Knight will physically harm them. “It could be a tough sale,” according to an unidentified source. “Some people don’t want to go near the catalogue because they think Suge still believes it’s his.”
The Global Music Group won an auction for the label’s catalogue in May of this year, but mysteriously couldn’t complete the sale at the last minute. SixShot.com points out Suge Knight is notorious for not accepting legal rulings, such as when Knight allegedly threatened former label partner Lydia Harris’s life in court, saying “You dead, bitch,” after Harris won a $107 million lawsuit against Knight.
