Queens of the Stone Age frontman, Josh Homme, appeared on BBC Radio 1 last night with the Scottish rock band Billy Clyro. The conversation quickly veered to Homme’s rumored production work with the Arctic Monkeys in Joshua Tree, CA.
NME reports that when asked if he had taken peyote during the Arctic Monkeys sessions, Homme said, “Well I did, but I didn’t tell them, so there were just a few days when they were like ‘Why are you being so weird?’ I didn’t think it was weird, I just said the word ‘Ham’ 4,000 times.”
The Arctic Monkeys have not released the name of their forthcoming album, but the band premiered some new material in Wellington, New Zealand three days ago. Watch a decent video of them performing their new song “Go Cart” here.
