Spencer Elden, the former baby on the cover of Nirvana’s 1993 breakthrough Nevermind, is now 17 and still making money from his naked-baby-swimming fame. After graduating a year early from an LA high school, he was offered $1000 for a photo of him reenacting the famous album cover (He was paid $200 for the original photo). He also gets paid to swim in people’s pools, telling CNN:
“Stuff happens like random cool situations where I get paid $500 just to go hang out. People just call me up and they’re like, ‘Hey you’re the Nirvana baby, right? Well just come and swim in my pool and we’ll give you some money.’ “
411mania.com reports Elden has been getting calls from Hollywood directors interested in casting him for small roles. His main goal, however, is to use the attention he’s gettting to launch a career as an artist or graphic designer.
