Daft Punk are not set to perform at Coachella 2013, as was previously rumored, but they did just steal the biggest headline from the festival so far… by confirming a different rumor: Julian Casablancas is among the cast of guest performers on their forthcoming album, Random Access Memories. According to a report earlier this month, Casablancas appears on the album’s 5th track, dubbed “5:37.”
News of the team-up arrived along with further collaborative confirmations via a clip broadcast on festival screens teasing a new music video that co-stars Pharrell Williams. Other names announced for the set (some of which we had already confirmed) include Panda Bear, Todd Edwards, DJ Falcon, Chilly Gonzales, Giorgio Moroder, Nile Rogers, and Paul Williams.
